How To Start Your Own Radio Show
by Chris Geo
NOTE: Please do not re-post this article. Instead, link to this article to help us generate new traffic to our website. A reasonable request in my humble opinion considering the time I spent on this and the hours and hours of painful trial and error I am about to save you!!
It seems as though we are asked daily for two things: a list of songs we play on our show and the question of “How does one start his/her own radio show?”. I will post another article about the first, but right now I’d like to talk about the second. I’m going to begin from the simplest and cheapest way to get online and broadcasting, to more elaborate set-ups.
BROADCAST RIGHT NOW
The quickest and simplest way to begin broadcasting is Blogtalk Radio or Talkshoe. These are both very good networks that allow you to play music, take callers, bring on guests, have a built in chat room and automatically record your shows.
Personal note: Big shout to Ghosts Of The Republic – the first show to ever interview me and show me how easy it is to begin broadcasting.
With Talkshoe and Blogtalk, you can use something as simple as a telephone and begin broadcasting TONIGHT! However you will be faced with the problem of the host sounding like he’s on a telephone, same as the guest. If your content is good enough, people will listen! But if you want a more professional sound, the host should always sound full.
USING SKYPE
To accomplish this, the cheapest option is to use Skype. Skype to Skype calls are free and you can get a national calling package that allows you to call within the US and Canada for $2.95 per month. The world calling plan is $14.95 per month which allows you to call internationally. So it is fairly affordable.
The cheapest way to use Skype is to use an analog or USB headset. You can find a good analog headset on Ebay for roughly $6-$10. We sent a $6 analog headset over to a guest and he sounded GREAT!! That is another key, if you can get the guest and host on Skype with good microphones or headsets, it will sound like they are live in the studio. For reference, see our David Icke interview at http://truthfrequencyradio.com. David was on Skype and sounded absolutely FANTASTIC!
Be careful with Skype headsets though, more expensive isn’t necessarily better. Some sound very thin, some sound very FULL. I don’t remember which headset I sent over to that particular guest but it was a $6.00 analog headset from Ebay (shipping included). Sheree bought a $40 headset from Best Buy for doing the show remotely and we wound up returning it.
It is important to tweak Skype for broadcasting, especially if you are using a router. A rule of thumb is to never use a wireless connection, not even in home wireless connections. A good video for tweaking Skype can be found here.
Analog Dynamic Microphones
The next level would be to go full analog with a mixer. The cheapest microphone I would recommend is the Shure SM58. It is important to learn the difference between a dynamic and condenser microphone. The SM58 is a dynamic mic. However, for $20 more, the Shure Beta SM58 sounds much better.
If you will notice our first broadcasts, we were both using the Beta dynamic microphones. For my taste, female voices sound GREAT on these mics but male voices, myself to be exact, sounded TERRIBLE and nasally. I’ve been told I’m over critical of myself, but when I got the bright idea (thank you James Corbett) to pull my condenser mic out of my vocal booth and into the broadcasting studio, my voice sounded FULL again.
Another good dynamic microphone is the Shure SM7B. Michael Jackson used this mic to record his Thriller album (even though recording standards are to use a condenser microphone).
NOTE: One of the biggest differences between Dynamic and Condenser/Ribbon mics is “proximity effect”. This is how the microphone reacts to the distance away from your mouth. Dynamic mics are meant to be used an inch or two away from your mouth and exaggerate the bass, the closer you get to the mic. Condenser mics are meant to be used 6-12 inches away from your mouth (or more). That’s why you see Alex Jones, or Glen Beck, or David Letterman etc. with their mic right on the table instead of in front of their mouths. Google – “proximity effects in microphones” for more info.
Analog Condenser and Ribbon Microphones
I don’t have too much experience with ribbon mics, so I can’t speak too much about those. But I can tell you, what Condensers and Ribbon Mics both have in common is they require PHANTOM POWER. Phantom power is external power to boost the level of the microphone. Dynamic microphones do NOT use phantom power and can be plugged directly into any sound card. Condenser and ribbon mics will require either a preamp or a mixer with phantom power.
Alex Jones, Glenn Beck and James Corbett (and myself) use condenser microphones. Glenn Beck uses one by a company called BLUE. Alex Jones uses a Nueman which is also another high end brand of microphones in the same price range (approx $1000-$10,000, depending on the model). James Corbett uses an Audiotechnica AT2020 which is a condenser mic that sounds really good, especially for it’s $100 price tag.
PREAMP
A condenser mic is only as good as it’s preamp. Higher end pre-amps will have a compressor, which is a unit that will compress the signal, making the voice sound even in dynamic range. A noise gate is also VERY helpful as condenser and ribbon mics will pick up typing from keyboards and even keys jingling in your pocket.
The Aphex 230 Voice Master has it ALL and is the standard for voice-overs and broadcasting. It has a noise gate, a compressor, a de-esser and, my favorite, the big bottom and aural exciter.
Here is a breakdown of the elements in this particular preamp. These elements can be in “all in one units” or purchased as individual pieces, but they are all used to make the condenser mic sound as great as possible.
Tube preamp – if you are going to use a high end mic, you need a high end TUBE preamp. No digital preamps.
Compressor – Because of the sensitivity of the microphone, a compressor is needed to squash sounds that are too loud and raise sounds that are too low.
Noise Gate – Again, condenser microphones are VERY sensitive and can pick up keys jingling in your pockets, typing on keyboards, creaking in chairs and even the slightest noise. The noise gate acts like a “gate” and only allows sound to pass through at a certain level.
De-esser.- When you add a compressor to a condenser microphone, it will naturally compress the sssss and eeessss in your voice. This is called sibilance and is an annoyance in both recording and broadcasting. A De-esser will lower only the frequencies in the sibilance.
Big Bottom – Not a requirement, but a nice addition. This is how George Noory and other great radio hosts get that really full voice, especially in the lower range.
Parametric EQ- Equalizer, just like in your car with a slightly difference response. The EQ in your car is called a graphic EQ. But it takes out or adds certain frequencies to your voice to make it more pleasant.
Aural Exciter – Not a requirement, but it gives your voice a more crisp sound.
A low cost tube preamp would be the Presonus Tubepre for about $100. It does not come with a compressor or noise gate but it’s still a nice tube pre on a budget.
USING A MIXER
Using a mixer will allow you to do many things including controlling levels, connecting computers, mp3 players or any other sound source along with your microphones. Some mixers will have built in microphone preamps and some will even have phantom power. While these will never sound as good as separate unit preamps, some sound VERY good. There are two mixers I would recommend.
For about $125 you can get a Behringer 1204USB. Behringer is the lower end brand of studio equipment but they do a good job for the money. This mixer tries to emulate the Mackie ProFX 12. Mackie is the industry standard but I’ve seen Alex Jones using a Behringer in the background, if that tells you anything. I use the Mackie ProFX and plug Sheree’s Shure Beta directly into the preamp and it sounds WARM and FULL for females. While I would NEVER record vocals with this microphone/preamp combination, for broadcasting it sounds GREAT (for her). Much fuller than the Behringer mixer, which is at the moment, collecting dust.
The Mackie ProFX is a bit more expensive but for an audiophile like myself, it sounds FANTASTIC! Either way, it plugs directly into the computer through USB ; So, you can set your computer sound to your on-board sound card, run that into one of your mixer channels, and use the USB to broadcast out with. Boom, you now have control over any sound coming out of your computer, going into your mixer and being broadcasted out of the USB.
CABLES
The saying, “you are only as strong as your weakest link” is so true in any type of audio or video application. The most overlooked part of any studio is the cables. Make sure you buy new cables for your mixer and microphones. Don’t try to splice cables and try to stay away from adapters if possible. A bad cable can cause hums, static and other noise and you’ll go crazy trying to figure out how to get rid of it.
There are two types of cables I would recommend. The most affordable cables are made by a company called Hosa and range about $5-$10 per cable. But if you really want to go professional, then go with cables by a company called Mogami which are gold tipped and MUCH higher quality. The noise floor is not detectable to the human ear with these cables. But they come at a huge cost – about $50 per cable, even for a 3 ft. quarter inch to quarter inch. Oddly enough, a 50ft. xlr microphone cable by the same company costs about the same too. Hmmm…..
Note: Another thing to mention is a phenomenon called a “ground loop”. This is where the ground of one device creates noise in your system due to your mixer/computer/etc. being plugged into the same circuit. A quick fix for this is to either use adapters that remove the ground pin on the ac plug (but you’ll raise your chance of getting electric shocks) or use something like the GemSound Sp-8500 for about $20. There are more expensive power conditioners but luckily, I don’t have any problems with ground loops.
HEADPHONES
It is important to note you NEVER want to use speakers when broadcasting (or recording). Your mics will pick up whatever you are playing and cause either phasing or feedback. A good pair of headphones for a moderate price would be the Sony MDR-7506′s. They run about $100 and they are the industry standard. Alex Jones uses them, mobile camera crews use them and you can see them in any shot in a documentary or film where the microphone guy is visible. They are crisp, clear and most importantly RUGGED!!!
If you want to use multiple headphones for several different people then I would recommend the Presonus HP4. It’s about $100 and will turn the headphone jack on your mixer into 4 different jacks with individual volume controls. I like mine LOUD! Sheree likes hers soft. So it works out great.
COUGH SWITCH
A cough switch is a button that you can press to temporarily mute the microphone in case you have to cough or make a noise. It’s not really needed if you are running the board yourself. A noise gate really isn’t needed either because you can just mute and unmute yourself on the mixer channel. It does the same thing really. Sheree does not run the board so she uses a Cough Drop. But because Sheree doesn’t have a noise gate, I modified the cough drop to work the opposite of what it is supposed to. Instead of temporarily muting the mic, I replaced the switch with an ON/OFF switch so she can mute and unmute herself when she wants to talk. This does two things. #1, keeps her mic muted when I’m talking so both mics are not picking up my voice. And #2, lets her type and do other things without the mic picking it up on air. Like I said before, my microphone has a noise gate, so things that are not intended to come through the mic (usually) don’t.
BROADCASTING OUT
We use WINAMP and the shoutcast DSP to broadcast out to our shoutcast server. In theory, we could run the show 100% from our end into our shoutcast server and have our own stream. Technically we do have our own stream but p American Freedom Radio and Polygraph radio are the only listeners. They distribute the stream through their shoutcast servers out to the listeners. The point is no matter how you stream out, you want your USB Mixer (which is a soundcard in itself) to broadcast everything coming out of the USB main out.
Connecting to a Network
Most networks today will allow you to connect either via Skype or via ISDN and they will have a board operator who will do all of the work for you, have all of the equipment, get your guests on the phone and even have a caller room. So in theory, if you have a good blogtalk or talkshoe show, you know the right people to get on a network, you sound GOOD with a good skype headset or analog mic/mixer set up, you can get on a network!!! !
Connecting to your guests and taking calls
This one troubled me for MONTHS! I bought a telephone hybrid for $500 that connects your telephone to the mixer but I wound up taking it back. It’s really old school technology. I find it MUCH easier to use Skype! I like to have control of everything so I use separate computers for the caller line and for the guest line. The Skype guest line is set to the USB MIXER sound card and has a separate volume control on the mixer (USB IN SWITCH).
The caller line also runs on Skype, connecting to a call room that gives us on screen caller info and a mute/unmute button, similar to blogtalk or talkshoes phone system. This is ran on a separate computer also HARD INTERNET WIRED (no wireless, remember!).
Computer limitations
Because you are pushing your CPU resources to the max, it’s VERY important to have a GOOD QUAD CORE CPU with at least 4 GIGS of RAM. Infact, Skype suggests you run nothing but skype, and if you can have your guest on a separate computer, your stream on a separate computer and your caller lines on a separate computer, that would be IDEAL. But I am able to do everything, monitor the chatroom, surf the internet, run youtube clips, run mp3′s use skype for the guests, run Winamp AND run Cubase on one computer. And the other computer is for the caller line.
Recording your shows
There are a few different ways to record your shows. I use Cubase and record before everything is sent out. You can use Audacity (free program) or similar but I find Audacity quite buggy. You can use an external MP3 recorder (preferred) like the 9900-52278-00 M-Audio MicroTrack II connected to your mixer. There is a separate place to hook this up on your mixer so you don’t have to use your outputs. The simplest way is to have a friend (or two or three) record your show using a Winamp or Windows Media stream recorder (FREE). They would basically act like a listener on Winamp or Windows Media Player and just record whatever is broadcasting out to the world on their end. The reason I say two or three friends is because you always want to have a backup.
For recording Skype calls for podcasts that don’t air live, FREE MP3 RECORDER is a GREAT software that will record your voice on one speaker, the other end on the other speaker then you can break it down in something like Cubase (or a free sequencer) and have volume control over the both ends of the conversation. Don’t forget to bounce the tracks to mono so you don’t have one end coming out of the left speaker and right speaker.
WATCH YOUR LEVELS!!!
A lot of audio novices don’t understand the term “headroom”. Imagine a cup of water, headroom is the cup, the water is the audio. If you over flow the cup, you’re going to get a terrible distortion. If you underfill the cup, you are going to be thirsty!! So make sure you watch your levels on your mixing applications.
Sometimes you might hear our broadcasts coming out a little softer than normal and you might have to turn up your headphones or speakers. This is because we are recording at a lower level so get a nice clean recording. After the recoding, you can use software compressors and limiters to raise the volume of the final archive. You can always fix levels that are too low. You CANNOT fix levels that are “clipped” or “overflowing”. Before every broadcast I set my mic level on top of the music level and make sure it’s still well within the headroom. When I subtract the music, the mic doesn’t sound as high. I’m constantly adjusting levels during the broadcasts, especially when the guest has bad mic technique or keeps moving the phone around.
MAKE MONEY WITH YOUR RADIO SHOW/ PODCAST!!
If anyone has figured this one out, please let us know!!! We don’t get paid a dime. In fact, we pay for everything ourselves!! In the meantime, you should not do this to make money. You should do it for FUN, for INFORMATION and for SPRITIUAL GROWTH and ENLIGHTENMENT. It’s a long and hard road, but all of our great listeners make it worth it!!
I hope we’ve been able to enlighten and empower anyone interested in starting a radio show to go out and do it!! Remember, you have to just DO IT! You’re not going to “hit it big” on your first broadcast and your first broadcast is probably going to sound TERRIBLE. So just DO IT and get it over with. Your format will begin to take form after the first few shows and new ideas will come to mind. We started on Blogtalk, on a telephone, moved to Polygraph Radio then moved to American Freedom Radio. So JUST DO IT!!!
Arizona to set up permanent checkpoints

As I’ve previously written, this Arizona bill was a wolf in sheep’s clothing coming in through the servants entrance. Despite the general consensus I have been an avid defender of the 4th amendment regardless of how attractive they propagandized the destruction of our constitution. The ends never justify the means. And just as I predicted when the AZ bill was passed, other states, including Texas are following suit. Arizona is the test ground for a 4th amendment(less) police state and it saddens me to see well meaning and educated people falling for it hook line and sinker.
With freedom comes responsibility and the matter of whether society truly wants to be free has been debated time and time again on our radio show, Truth Frequency Radio. In fact, we’ve gotten so sick and tired of the same game being played over and over again that we’ve began veering away from politics and delving into more esoteric knowledge such as ufology, consciousness, meditation and the true origins of mankind. Why did we take the show in a new direction? Simply put, it’s because we don’t want to have a show that mimics the repeating plot line style of WWE wrestling and simply interchanges the characters. Perhaps, I have become jaded. Or perhaps, a broader perspective has been achieved to realize that ANYTHING the government does is done purely and solely for the purpose of tightening the totalitarian grip. I’ve reached a point where I don’t even want to hear about the legislation being passed much less debate the issue because in the end it all comes down to the same purpose. Control. Control. Control.
Once again, I will state for the record that illegal immigrants are the scapegoats for a bankrupt society, cover for the corporate banking interests and the means to the totalitarian end. I implore each and every one of you to shift your perspective, raise your consciousness and understand NOTHING the States or Federal government does is motivated by nothing more than self preservation and power.
With that in mind, I bring you the MSM propaganda.

Am I Free To Go??

Am I Free To Go?
by Chris Geo
My friends,
Police encounters have been a subject we have veered away from for a few months on the show ; However, it is a subject that deserves more attention, so we will book a great guest for you by the end of the month.
Tonight, Sheree and I were driving around at three o’ clock in the morning on the way to the twenty-four hour fishing barge to get an early start. On the way, I decided to stop by an old bridge that is said to be “haunted”, just to get Sheree’s reaction. We drove down the street, had a look at the bridge and drove back towards the freeway. As we approached the freeway, we saw an officer parked on the side of the road. We checked the speed and we were a few miles under the speed limit. I urge everyone to drive a few miles under the speed limit because most police departments have repealed their policy of giving drivers a 5-mile-over-the-speed-limit-leeway.
On a side note, a new “unannounced” law in Texas says you have to either slow to down to twenty miles an hour or move to the other lane if you see an officer on the side of the road. It is a $750 fine.
Anyway.
As we all know the police are scurrying to draw blood from the turnip (that is a depression hit public), so they are looking for any reason to write tickets. We were pulled over because our “licenses plate was not properly illuminated”. This is the first I’ve heard about this ordinance so we will have to fix it this morning ; But it goes to show, you can’t even go on a last minute fishing trip without dotting all of your “i”’s and crossing all of your “t”’s. I’m sure the lives of school children and drivers nationwide were threatened due to the lack of illumination on the license plates. They might get into a wreck trying to read your plates ladies and gentlemen! It’s not like they have large spot lights attached to their cars in case they need more illumination during a traffic stop.
As the officer approached, Sheree was in the drivers seat and I was in the passenger seat. The officer asked for drivers license and insurance, so I explained the insurance was in the back seat in my clip board. I did this so he could shine his spot light back there and see that I wasn’t reaching for a weapon or anything like that. He shined his light, I grabbed the clip board, opened it facing him (so he could see what was inside of it) and took it out.
I’d like to note here that I feel it is very important to make any officer who stops you as comfortable as possible. Always pull over in a well lit area and have your windows rolled down so he can see you don’t have a back seat full of people or anything like that. I always tell them where I am going to reach and what I am reaching for. These people deal with the scum of the earth and it’s no wonder they get tainted with the mentality that everyone is a criminal.
After I asked what the reason for this contact was (non-illuminated license plate), he asked for my identification. It’s important to note that you ARE required to give your drivers license when driving but you are not required to carry identification any other time. He was shocked that I didn’t have identification and asked me to step out of the vehicle. I complied because I understand officers have to be safe out there.
He came back to me and started asking several questions including my name, date of birth, residency, where we are going, etc. etc. I gave him my legal name and asked if I was free to go. He said “no, you are being detained”. I asked if he suspected me of a crime and he didn’t give a clear answer, although I know he did not suspect me of a crime. He stopped the vehicle for a non-illuminated license plate which had nothing to do with me. He then asked for my date of birth and I explained that I don’t know because I don’t remember the day I was born. He asked what date was on my drivers license and I one again asked if I was free to go. He then asked me to put my hands behind my back and handcuffed me.
He then stated it was a crime to not give my name, date of birth and residency. I explained that if I was mistaken in the law, I would be happy to correct anything I may be ignorant to. He pulled out a book and read a law from it. I am not sure if he was actually reading from it or making it up but I complied with giving him the information he requested under the pretense that I would be breaking a law if I didn’t. I still have to research this law and the little bit of research I did this morning didn’t come up with anything. If anyone is familiar with the actual Texas penal code, please post it in the comment section.
He was apparently unable to pull my information with the information I had given him so he asked for my social security number. I am completely certain that I don’t have to disclose that number under any circumstance to anyone. I explained to him according to the Social Security Act of 1935, the Social Security Number cannot be used as identification and therefore I would be in violation of the law if I gave it. He said that didn’t apply to law enforcement but left me handcuffed and standing behind my vehicle while he spoke to Sheree.
Sheree wasn’t intimidated by him because she is a law-abiding citizen, as am I. He was trying to get more information about me out of her however she kept answering “he is the best person to answer that question”.
Finally he comes back to me and asked me a few more questions including why I am being uncooperative. I explained to that I do not wish to cooperate any more than the law requires me to do so. I recited the fourth amendment, looked him dead in the eye and said “I am doing this for your children and my children all the same. What kind of world are we going to leave them if we move in this trajectory? We are living in a high tech police state, we have cameras on every corner, we have naked body scanners at the air ports, the Federal Government is implementing biometric identifications and we’re moving towards a papers please society. We are walking the same path as Nazi Germany and I refuse to leave this kind of world behind for our children”.
He told me the reason things are the way they are is because of “terrorists”. I replied, “No, things are the way they are because the Federal Government is not doing it’s job of protecting our borders, coining money and ensuring the rights of the people”. I then asked him if he took an oath to defend the constitution of the United States. Of course he has. I said “I took that same oath”. He asked when/why. I said “because I am a proud American and it is every Americans duty to understand their rights”.
I then went on to explain how these policies takes good cops like himself off the streets to deal with law abiding citizens like myself instead of actual criminals. It’s not fair to the people of this country and to the officers who are out working at three o’ clock in the morning.
Finally, he took the handcuffs off of me and said “you are one big headache”. He began asking more questions. Instead of answering any of the questions I said “I have one question. Am I free to leave?”. He said yes so I walked away and got back in the vehicle. As I walked back to the car, he shouted, threateningly, “Don’t worry, we’ll catch ya later.”
In the end, I hope the seed of liberty has been planted in the officers mind and it will take root. He seemed like a decent guy, maybe someone I could even have a beer with. I understand the training and the fact that these officers put their lives on the line and deal with the scum of the earth. It’s no question that they can easily become jaded and look at everyone as a criminal. But it doesn’t have to be that way and it’s about time it stopped! I hope the officer realized tonight there are good people out there just sick and tired of being squeezed to death by the banks, the depression and the ever growing police state.
Ladies and gentlemen, the moral of the story is this. Treat these officers with respect, love and kindness. They are human beings. But also treat yourself like a human being too. A free human being. A free man doesn’t surrender his information at the drop of a hat. A free man doesn’t grovel, beg, plead or even resist. A free man stands on his ground, has a full understanding of the law and acts accordingly. Always look these officers in the eye and be sincere, even if you are simply asking if you are free to leave.
These are the magic words “Am I free to leave?”. Repeat this over and over again until you are either told you are free to go or you are arrested. Chances are you won’t be arrested because you’ve done nothing wrong. If you do get arrested, “anything you say can and will be used against you”. So the best thing to do in my opinion is don’t give them anything to arrest you for. Follow the law, drive responsibly, and don’t divulge any more information than you are required to by law.
I sympathize with these officers. They are out there fighting a tough fight having to enforce victimless crimes and catching actual “bad guys”. With new legislation passing every day, it’s no wonder why the crime rate is increasing and the police force has to increase with it. Tonight, we must have seen a dozen police cars patrolling the twenty-mile drive we took. I long for the day when I can speak freely to a police officer so they can be on their way catching bad guys. But as long as the totalitarian grip keeps getting tighter, it becomes harder and harder for the officers to do their job. It’s really a travesty.
Fourth Amendment
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Update:
Thanks for the comment guys! I wanted to follow up with the law: Thank you to Georgiacopguy for sending us the actual law! Please keep in mind, this is TEXAS law. Your state law may be slightly different.
§ 38.02. FAILURE TO IDENTIFY.
(a) A person commits an offense if he intentionally refuses to give his name, residence address, or date of birth to a peace officer who has lawfully arrested the person and requested the information.
(b) A person commits an offense if he intentionally gives a false or fictitious name, residence address, or date of birth to a peace officer who has:
(1) lawfully arrested the person;
(2) lawfully detained the person; or
(3) requested the information from a person that the peace officer has good cause to believe is a witness to a criminal offense.
(c) Except as provided by Subsections (d) and (e), an offense under this section is:
(1) a Class C misdemeanor if the offense is committed under Subsection (a); or
(2) a Class B misdemeanor if the offense is committed under Subsection (b).
(d) If it is shown on the trial of an offense under this section that the defendant was a fugitive from justice at the time of the offense, the offense is:
(1) a Class B misdemeanor if the offense is committed under Subsection (a); or
(2) a Class A misdemeanor if the offense is committed under Subsection (b).
(e) If conduct that constitutes an offense under this section also constitutes an offense under Section 106.07, Alcoholic Beverage Code, the actor may be prosecuted only under Section 106.07.
So reading this we have 5 sections where a person commits an offense. If you notice section A> it says you are guilty if you REFUSE to give your name/address/residence address when ARRESTED. So we’ve established – it is unlawful to REFUSE if you are ARRESTED. However… subsection B states it is unlawful to give FALSE information when you ar ‘lawfully detained’. So if I am reading this correctly you are only guilty of this if you are lawfully arrested for a crime or if you give a fictitious name while being lawfully detained. But it doesn’t say you have to give your name/residence address or date of birth if you are DETAINED. Key phrases there.
Does anyone agree or disagree with the interpretation? One thing about the law is it has to be spelled out in black and white. You cannot assume in law. It’s either written or it’s not. And from what I can see, if you are detained, you are not required to give them anything.
Legalize it! (or “please sir, may I have another”)

Legalize it!
Or “please sir, may I have another”
By Chris & Sheree
www.truthfrequencyradio.com
“Legalize marijuana!” seems to be the rhetoric lately. You can find it in on Cypress Hill CD’s, stoner hats, t-shirts, bumper stickers and now, even in marijuana “dispensaries”. But why are people so eager to have marijuana “legalized”? Because people don’t realize that by asking the government to do something that’s already a God-given right, they are begging for their own enslavement.
If you loosen the leash of a dog and give it an extra foot to roam is the dog free? Of course not! So why are we begging for a longer leash, if we desire to be completely free? It’s simple, really. We’ve been conditioned to believe we are dogs on a leash, and that as a society, we aren’t mature enough to handle our finances, our health care, or, apparently, our recreational drugs.
The “marijuana legalization movement”, while extremely well-intended, is a trap in and of itself. It’s a box, just like any social movement (like the so-called “truth movement”) or religion. It’s amazing how, as a species, when we encounter a box, we have to fit ourselves snugly inside of it instead of using it to boost us up to the next stage of evolution. Why are we limiting our freedom? Under what divine authority does anyone have a right to tell us what to put into our body? Especially when it’s simply a plant – that just grows! What if “they” decided tomatoes are not healthy and they outlawed all tomatoes? Would we rise in an uproar or simply laugh off the ridiculous notion? What exactly happened with marijuana? What makes this plant different?
Some would argue that it’s psychotropic effects make it dangerous to use and/or function as a responsible, contributing member of society. OK. I can accept that. With any sacred herb, a certain level of responsibility comes with it’s use. Hell, with the mere idea of freedom comes a certain level of responsibility ; Sadly, people simply don’t want to be free. They say they want to be free, but they really don’t. Not when they line up for government benefits, at doctors offices to be prescribed “medication” for their illness, etc. etc. But I digress.
God has given us everything we need. Every cure for every ailment can be found in nature. From the cancer-fighting apricot seeds to the depression-healing properties of simple vegetables to the even more complicated therapeutic effects of the Ayahuasca vine and B Cappi, and in marijuana, there are many many cures. All of these plants are freely available. So what is the big deal with marijuana?
To keep this short, marijuana was made illegal in 1937 for one reason: it was threatening the interests of the rich and powerful. It’s not that the monopoly men were against people getting baked, it had to do with competition to their synthetic products. The hemp plant was interfering with the paper industry, it’s healing properties were threatening big pharmaceutical companies from cornering their market, and it’s recreational properties were threatening the alcohol trade. After the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906 was passed and people’s favorite patent medicines with opium and cocaine were banned (so that Big Pharma could have their monopoly), it turned more people on to marijuana and they realized the healing properties of a plant that can not only be rapidly farmed but grew WILDLY throughout most parts of the world.
This story goes a lot deeper than the legalization of pot. In the 1930′s, agricultural technology was just taking off, and had America applied that technology to hemp, it could have brought America out of the Great Depression, much like now. However, hemp was the biggest competitor to paper and petrochemical companies, like Hearst and DuPont. DuPont, in particular, had a lot to worry about. The company had just patented a process to make plastics out of oil and coal. If they had applied that kind of industrialization to hemp, it would’ve essentially taken out their entire business (upwards of 80%, to be exact.) Ironically, those synthetic plastics turned out to be harmful to the reproductive system and cause cancer. Hemp would have been cheaper, more durable, and actually fights cancer. Go figure.
So the elitist types decided to give mother nature the proverbial finger and get hemp banned, which would have sounded absurd to Congress at the time. That would be like us wanting to petition Congress to ban trees or fish. They knew what hemp was, everyone did. They also knew what cannabis was: it was often in the patent medicines when they were still available, and was considered a perfectly legitimate medication for ailments ranging from stomach aches to sleep difficulties. So, they couldn’t use the word “hemp”, or “cannabis”, because that would’ve thrown up red flags everywhere and it’d never make it past the House. So they had to find another name for cannabis, and get the legislation through under different auspices, with that benevolent, “for your own good” kind of feel to it. But to pull this off would take a lot of persuasion and mass manipulation, so they used the recently-invented technologies of print media, radio, and film to deliver the propaganda directly to the masses.
Hoover’s Treasury Secretary, who also just happened to be DuPont’s primary investor, appointed his future nephew-in-law, Harry J. Anslinger, to head the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. Pretty soon, his bellowing voice was echoing throughout homes across the country, “warning” parents of the “dangers of marihuana” (an obscure Mexican slang word for cannabis). Here’s some more of his “pearls of wisdom”:
“There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers.
Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and any others.”
“…the primary reason to outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races.”
“Marijuana is an addictive drug which produces in its users insanity, criminality, and death.”
“Reefer makes darkies think they’re as good as white men.”
“Marihuana leads to pacifism and communist brainwashing”
“You smoke a joint and you’re likely to kill your brother.”
“Marijuana is the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind.”
Pretty soon, the media started blaming everything on marijuana, from car accidents to people jumping out of windows, beating other people to death with canes (see Reefer Madness, a particularly-bad propaganda film from 1936), as well as all kinds of other bizarre or insane behavior. The problem was, people in the 1930′s, although probably more intelligent overall then they are now, were much more naïve and ignorant back then and the majority of them considered anything said on the radio to be taken as fact. So, the globalists effectively scared the living crap out of everyone in America with that massive amount of fear-based propaganda repeated to them hypnotically over the course of a few years.
On April 14, 1937, the Prohibitive Marijuana Tax Law or the bill that outlawed hemp was directly brought to the House Ways and Means Committee, which—and this is so ironic–is the only one that can introduce a bill to the House floor without it being debated by other committees. The Chairman of the Ways and Means, Robert Doughton, was a Dupont supporter and fellow good ‘ole boy, and he made sure that the bill passed Congress. So, this bill kind of silently made its way through the legislative without anyone realizing what was really being banned. A doctor and lawyer named James Woodward tried to testify on behalf of the American Medical Association, but apparently it was “too late”. He told the committee that the reason the AMA had not denounced the Marijuana Tax Law sooner was that the Association had just discovered that marijuana was hemp! They didn’t even know what it was, or they would’ve spoken up!
So, in September of 1937, hemp/cannabis/marijuana/pot became illegal. The most useful crop known to man became a “dangerous drug” to be shunned and feared, and our planet has been suffering ever since.
The controllers have always used marijuana as both a trap for users (fines and prison sentences) and as a lump of propaganda clay: In the 1930′s, they said marijuana made users act extremely violent. In the 1950s, they pulled a 180 and said that marijuana will pacify you and make you not want to fight the commies. Inexplicably, the authorities never could get their story straight regarding what marijuana did and didn’t do to people. Cocaine has always been a stimulant, Opium always a depressant, but marijuana can be whatever they want it to be in the current political climate. It has almost a magical quality about it, where it can morph and change from time to time, just like the media nowadays can’t decide whether it’s global warming or global cooling, so they’ve just gone with “climate change”, so they can stop embarrassing themselves by making absurd predictions that end up proving themselves wrong.
On another note, it’s important to realize that these people want power, power, and more power. They can’t be happy with healthy competition. Observe the great depression. When the federal reserve system was put into place in 1913, the first thing they had to do was shut down the small banks, pull the gold standard out of place, and replace it with a paper currency THEY controlled. This was achieved through the great depression, bank runs, put options on stocks and so on and so forth. At the end of the great depression, every small bank was eliminated and bought for pennies on the dollar. The end result: Chase Manhattan, Bank Of America and the rest of the huge banks that the brain-dead public have now been conditioned to think are “too big to fail”. This is the key – the consolidation of power and resources.
Before prohibition of alcohol, anyone could brew alcohol and small, independently-owned companies were popping up left and right. People who put love into their product and pride in their work. I am sure most of you are familiar with the saloons of the “wild west”. With prohibition, all of those businesses shut down. And when they resumed the use of alcohol, only the biggest alcohol producers were still able to even manufacture it, and no one could sell it without permission from the government:
SEC. 6. No one shall manufacture, sell, purchase, transport, or prescribe any liquor without first obtaining a permit from the commissioner so to do, except that a person may, without a permit, purchase and use liquor for medicinal purposes when prescribed by a physician as herein provided, and except that any person who in the opinion of the commissioner is conducting a bona fide hospital or sanitarium engaged in the treatment of persons suffering from alcoholism, may, under such rules, regulations, and conditions as the commissioner shall prescribe, purchase and use, in accord once with the methods in use in such institution liquor, to be administered to the patients of such institution under the direction of a duly qualified physician employed by such institution.
Does this sound familiar? Anyone? Californians? Coloradans Anyone? And what emerged was a system of control, “regulated” by the federal government. Prohibition ended and suddenly you need to obtain a liquor license to make or sell wine! Could you imagine Jesus Christ going to Herod and asking for a license to turn the water into wine? Fast forward to 2010. How many people have you known who’ve tried to open up a club or bar and been denied their liquor license? If you don’t know any, google it! There are thousands and thousands of people who can’t get a permit to sell it, much less make it!
This is what’s known as the magician’s slight of hand. They take something that is rightfully yours away from you through the barrel of a gun (or the threat of one), then you jump for joy when they act as if they are giving it back to you… with strings attached! Have we all lost our minds? Has the fluoride in the water, mercury in vaccines and GMO food made us this stupid as to not realize it’s all smoke and mirrors?
So, as we reflect upon the last several decades of marijuana prohibition, and watch the supposed “death rattles” of the suppression of cannabis as a legitimate medicine, we keep thinking like slaves: Instead of demanding the law is repealed, we demand marijuana is legalized! It’s a trap, ladies and gentlemen! Before we go jumping for joy that marijuana dispensaries are popping up throughout the United States, let’s look at who is pushing this medical marijuana agenda through and who holds financial interest in the issue. For the sake of time, let’s look at one key player. George Soros.
George Sores is private investor/billionaire and a member of who?….. the CFR! The CFR? Angelina is in the CFR and she’s pretty hot, especially in Tomb Raider. No harm there, right? Oh, what is this, he’s a member of the Tilateral commission too? And what else? No! Don’t tell me… the Carlyle group too! So he’s supposedly a left-wing democrat liberal who also hangs out with people like Dick Cheney and “Poppy” Bush? That thought alone should get most right-left paradigm prisoners in a revolving door of confusion for a few days. But what’s with the elites’ sudden interest in marijuana? What are the interests of all of these groups to begin with? They want to rule the world! They want to control every single resource!
George Soros has been one of the key financial players in the marijuana “legalization” movement. He effectively bought the passage of the marijuana bills in California and Arizona. Now he is pushing for government-sponsored marijuana dispensaries and pushing to take away the cultivation rights of “patients”. If he has it his way, every gram of marijuana would be supplied by the government, manufactured using Monsanto’s patented GMO seeds, and the people will have to pay in excess of $600 an ounce for what amounts to “Mexican ditch weed”.
George Soros not only holds vested interests in Monsanto (as a matter of fact, he tripled his shares just a few months ago to a whopping 3 million) but has also been exposed as being a part of continuing money laundering schemes involving his accounts in the Netherlands Antilles. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his corruption but in the interest of time these are the key points we will focus on.
As many of you know, Monsanto (who is doing very well in the markets thanks to Soros’ crew) plans to control every food product on the face of the earth through Codex Alimentarius and its’ “terminator seeds”. According to Cannabisculture.com,
“Terminator seeds are genetically engineered to produce a plant that will not produce viable seed, meaning that growers would be forced to go back to Monsanto each year to buy more seed stock to replant. Governments and public alike became wary of the concept when it was discovered that the terminator seed could possibly cross the species barrier, possibly spreading infertility among the plant kingdom like a disease.
Cannabis seeds from Monsanto are almost definitely genetically engineered. Genetically engineered plants can be patented, and it is in Monsanto’s best interest to hold a patent on any seed they sell. Seed patents ensure that companies like Monsanto can continue to profit from seeds from year to year, as farmers are legally bound to buy patented seeds from the patent holder rather than simply store them from the last year’s crop.”
The plan is the same for “medicinal” marijuana and ultimately recreational marijuana. When we beg the government to “regulate and tax” a plant that grow wildly in most parts of the world, we are begging for Monsanto to take control of the crop entirely.
Another key personality, although an entirely different one, of the Marijuana legalization movement is Canada’s Marc Emery, who was recently given five years in a US prison for selling marijuana seeds in Canada. Marc Emery donated millions of dollars per year to marijuana activist groups, much like Soros. However, unlike Soros, Emery has pushed for complete decriminalization of marijuana. He believes every human being has a right to grow as much of the plant as they can and no government authority has the right to regulate or tax it.
It is interesting to note the American DEA’s extradition orders stated nothing about the “crime” of selling seeds but rather attacked his political views and activism going as far as to state “this will be a huge blow to the marijuana legalization movement and one less pot of money”. This is the same DEA who works for the CIA who brings in 90% of the drugs into the United States and works in unison with the drug cartels. This is not to mention most of the prisons in the United States are privately owned by the Drug Cartels. So obviously, this whole situation has been controlled, manipulated, and carried out according to orders given by the oligarchy.
Also, it’s interesting to note that although every media source in America has tried to paint him as some kind of kingpin, he actually paid taxes on his earnings, and even registered it as a marijuana seed business. He was an upstanding member of the community, and respected by everyone who knew him, yet the U.S. media is crucifying him and the DEA has been frothing at the mouth to get him extradited for the last five years, because in Canada, he’d probably get a $200 fine for his “crime”. This wasn’t about a law being broken. It was about going after an icon in a legitimate movement to take down that one so they can set up another movement that serves their interests and looks like the same thing to the public.
I hope I have given you all enough ideas to make you motivated and plenty of information to research. The bottom line is simple” when you beg for the legalization of marijuana, you are begging for your own enslavement. A slave begs for a little bit of freedom. A free man demands his rights are no longer infringed upon and even goes as far as to stand up and fight. We need to all demand marijuana prohibition is repealed on every level: federal, state and local. Because in the end, it’s not about legalizing marijuana. It’s about taking the power back and standing up for your rights as a creation of the one and only God – the creator of the Universe.
We don’t need more laws, we need LESS laws. Otherwise we repeat the never-ending cycle of falsely thinking we are free, being treated like slaves, “revolting”, and once again being given a false sense of freedom.

As many of you probably know, 5 students were removed from Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Ca on Wed. The entire story is here:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36981179?GT1=43001
Today we received an official press release from Superintendent Dr. Wesley Smith’s office.
On behalf of Dr. Wesley Smith:
The Morgan Hill Unified School District does not prohibit nor do we discourage wearing patriotic clothing. The incident on May 5 at Live Oak High School is extremely unfortunate. While campus safety is our primary concern and administrators made decisions yesterday in an attempt to ensure campus safety, students should not, and will not, be disciplined for wearing patriotic clothing. This matter is under investigation and appropriate action will be taken.
Sincerely,
Julie Zintsmaster
Executive Secretary to Dr. Wesley Smith, Superintendent

Dr. Smith refused to comment any further and declined an interview. I would also like to point out the image at the top of the school districts website (below). When confronted about the image and asked if that represented an equality amongst students, the school district cited the image was part of a” malfunctioning slider”. Since the phone call the image has been changed to a sliding image and bunched with several other.

I commend these young patriots and I am ashamed of the school district white washing this clear case of racism. Schools cannot single out a certain group, ESPECIALLY American citizens showing their patriotism. I don’t care if it’s the 5th of May of the 4th of July! We are calling for the resignation of Miguel Rodriguez whose actions, in the broadest sense, can be regarded as treasonous. While not criminally treasonous (despite being criminally unconstitutional), it is clear Miguel Rodriguez is disloyal to the country which feeds, clothes and keep his children safe, the constitution of the United States, the flag of this country and the Republic for which it stands.
I do not believe in racism and I stand firm in the belief that all men are equal but it is clear the media and powers that be are clearly attempting to create racial tension. The media cartels parade illegals who want to take up their “axes and shovels” to use “against us” while at the same time NATGEO runs documentaries on skinhead/neo-nazi/militia groups who want to “take this country back” through a racist agenda.
Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen it’s ALL a carefully crafted plot. The illegal aliens are NOT the cause of our problems but a symptom of a welfare state engineered to bring down the economy. Coupled with millions of people out of work and home, American citizens will naturally direct their anger towards what they believe is the reason their hard work has not paid off. The flip side of course is the Mexican media propagandizing the idea that “La Raza” will take over this country
I urge EVERY business in the United States to boycott non-English speaking customers. Eliminate the option to “press one for Spanish” completely. I have met some great and hard working illegal immigrants, ones who come to this country to work hard, learn the language and prosper. I would like to leave a door open for them to become citizens and patriots of this great country because in the end, we are talking about human beings. But on the other side, I’ve met illegals who refuse to learn our language, spit on our flag and culture yet live on the welfare system created to help American citizens in need. It’s time to STOP REWARDING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION and encouraging non-English speaking illegal immigrants.
On a personal note, I’d like to say when people say they want to kill me with pitchforks and axes they become my enemy combatants. La Raza, (under the influence of the corporate controlled Hispanic media) has taken this to an entirely new level. We’ll see how well their axes and pitchforks hold up against our second amendment
. When the first amendment fails, the founders gave us a back up.
